Questions for Thought
When we study artwork we need to ask ourselves some questions:
Study the Artwork
Contextualization
Study the Artwork
- What do you see in the picture?
- Does the artist use color in an interesting way? What colors do you see?
- Who is the creator of the image?
- When was the picture created?
Contextualization
- What is the picture about? Write a two sentence summary.
- Take into consideration where and when this picture was created. What was happening historically at the time?
- Why did the artist create this image?
